The Sloom Mattress 100-night risk-free trial lets you test the mattress in your own home. We recommend sleeping on it for at least 60 nights to allow your body to adjust to the new support and foam. If you're still not satisfied, you can return your Sloom Mattress between 60 and 100 days for a full refund.

To unbox your Sloom Mattress, tip the box on its side and slide the rolled mattress onto your base. Do not cut the plastic while the mattress is compressed and rolled up, as you could cut into the cover. Carefully open the first layer of plastic by pulling at the heat seal and unrolling the plastic, tearing by hand if needed. Unroll the mattress with the white side facing up and the label at the foot of the bed. Cut the final layer of plastic at the end farthest from the mattress and allow it to expand for a few minutes. Remove all plastic, make your bed, and enjoy a great night's sleep.

You can sleep on your mattress immediately after unpacking. While it may take up to 24 hours to fully decompress, the final expansion is minimal and won’t affect comfort or support.

The mattress can stay in its compressed state without compromising the foams for a month, but we recommend that you remove it from the box upon receipt.

The Sloom Mattress comes preset to the Soft comfort level, but you can easily adjust it to Medium or Firm by rearranging the foam layers inside the cover. Medium firmness is a great starting point to let your body adjust. If you prefer more or less support, simply flip or swap the layers. This modular design makes it easy to find your ideal Sloom Mattress firmness at home.

Split comfort means each side can have a different firmness. The split foam design reduces motion transfer, and the 500gsm cover makes the surface smooth, without feeling the split down the middle. Split Comfort is only available on Sloom's Queen, King, and Cape Town King mattresses.

No. The luxury 500gsm cover keeps both sides aligned, so a gap won't be felt. If one side is firm and the other soft, you may feel the transition.

Only use the cutting tool if you get stuck with the plastic. Position the mattress with the white side facing upwards and the label at the foot. The Sloom Pillow has been compressed, with all the air pressed out. Due to the composition of memory foam, some of the chips might be stuck together. The pillow will recover from its compressed state within 72 hours without any intervention. We recommend puffing up the pillow to loosen up the memory foam chips. To speed up the process, open both zip covers and loosen the memory foam chips inside by hand.

The Sloom Pillow is fully adjustable. If your pillow feels too firm or too high, you can remove some of the memory foam chips inner by opening both the outer zip cover and the inner memory foam cover. If you feel that your pillow is too flat after puffing up the pillow, you can buy additional memory foam chips for your pillow at a cost of R150.

The outer zip cover is washable, it is recommended to gently wash in cold water with mild detergent. The outer cover does not serve as a pillowcase, and we do not recommend sleeping on it directly, as washing it regularly will shorten its lifespan. Do not wash the inner of the pillow as its quality will be compromised.

The 100-night trial lets you try out the Sloom mattress in the comfort of your own home. It takes time for your body to adjust to a new mattress, we recommend you spend a minimum of 60 days trialing your new Sloom Mattress. We suggest spending 30 days trying a specific firmness, if between days 60 and 100 you are still not satisfied – we will arrange a free collection and refund in full.

A great question! 3% of Sloom Mattresses are returned. This leaves us with a few lightly used mattresses that need new homes. Once a year, we sell these mattresses at a fraction of the cost and 100% of these proceeds go to a good cause.

The sleep trial only extends to the original purchaser and is limited to one mattress per customer. Proof of purchase must be provided. The sleep trial will be nullified if: the product is found in an unsanitary/stained/burnt/torn or dirty condition. The product has been abused or damaged in any way. An inappropriate foundation has been used. The person sleeping on the mattress weighs more than the weight limit of that mattress. Please view the terms and conditions for a full explanation.

The return policy allows you to return goods for a full refund within seven days if unused and still in their original packaging. If the product has been opened or used and you wish to return it under the 7-day return policy, a handling fee of 10% of the purchase price will be charged. The return policy is separate from the 100-night sleep trial. Returning the mattress is free and Sloom covers transport costs. Once the returned product is received, the refund will be made within three working days. For Credit Card Payments, please expect the refund to appear in your account within 7 to 12 working days. For EFT payments, the refund is typically reflected within 24 working hours.

The first 24 months are covered by a full factory guarantee against poor workmanship and faulty materials. If, after inspection, the product is found to be defective, Sloom will either repair or replace the product. This does not include normal wear and tear of damages post-receipt of the product. After 24 months, there will be a service charge for the repair or replacement of your defective product. The service charge is calculated by dividing the current retail price by the number of years of the warranty, which is 25, and then multiplying it by the number of years since the purchase date on your original invoice.

The current retail price of a Queen size is R11 000 / Service warranty 25 Years = R440

Number of years since purchase date = 4 years.

Charge for repair or replacement (R440 x 4 years) = R1 760

Annually, we sell these mattresses at a fraction of the cost and 100% of these proceeds go to a good cause. These are either demo mattresses or mattresses returned during the 100-night trial period.We will never repackage a mattress that has been used and sell it as new, we will either recycle it or donate it to our chosen charity. Therefore please ensure you have selected the correct size, as once opened, it cannot be recompressed and packaged in a box.
